How Enrollment Works
When a student purchases your course, they are automatically enrolled and get instant access. This works the same whether you use SimpleCourse Pay or a 3rd party payment provider.
The flow
- A student buys your course — either through SimpleCourse Pay's checkout or your external payment provider
- SimpleCourse creates a student account and enrolls them
- The student receives a welcome email with a link to set their password
- They log in and can access the course
With SimpleCourse Pay
If you use SimpleCourse Pay, enrollment is fully automatic. There's nothing extra to configure — students are enrolled the moment their payment is confirmed.
With a 3rd party provider
If you use an external payment provider, you need to set up an integration so your provider can notify SimpleCourse when a sale happens. You can do this via:
- A native integration (like Digistore24)
- A webhook
- Zapier
Some integrations (like Zapier and webhooks) already define which course to enroll in as part of their setup. Others (like Digistore24) need you to add an enrollment source in the course's Enrollments tab to map your products to a specific course.
You can also enroll students manually if needed.
